‘Crazy Conspiracy Theorist’ — Why this is a dumb statement!!

How horribly comfortable it is to label someone. It makes it so much easier for us to make sense of the world and to reinforce to our fragile minds that we’re ok being ourselves when we can slap labels on anyone or anything that threatens us or that we can’t understand. When I vilify everyone else, I can sit in my Ikea feathered nest bought with earnings from a hamster-wheel society and ignore my ignorance and shame and pretend that I’m ok. Well, I must be ok if everyone I surround myself does the same.

Labelling someone anything is often an insult as it takes away any validation of them. Labelling conspiracy theorists is the same. It’s easy to point and mock. People who avidly seek the truth can come up with some unbelievable notions and so it’s easy to take the piss but there’s always elements of truth and plausibility. What people say, is often a developed theory based on years of thought and research, no matter how valid or flawed it may seem. For example, David Ike didn’t just wake up on day with a fully developed theory that the world is run by a reptilian master-race. This took time, research and development and for all we know, he could be right.

Generally people who seek the truth have a strong (an uncomfortable) point. For example, we’re controlled by government and conditioned to accept shit norms and then rewarded in some way for complying. Lockdowns are a great example of this. The government created the motivation (a belief we were doing it for each other and therefore, for ourselves) and they enforced it with legislation and the threat of sanctions. We then feel the reward of feeling like we’re looking after each other and are reminded by noticing how everyone else does the same and the puppets on telly also tell us we’re doing well. It then became the norm and we comply with the norm for social acceptance which is so essential for us. We can be easily controlled and we need structure and control to stop us slipping into selfish chaos.

If conformity is on one end of the extreme and is the vanilla in the hugest inter-galactic Ben and Jerry’s store, there’s trillions of other flavours that seek to explain our purpose and meaning and somewhere within it all, there could be something close to tasting right.
